Directions and Parking

I am located at 224 Datura Street, West Palm Beach, 33401. This address will work well in your GPS navigation system.

I am in Suite 607. Take the elevator to the Sixth Floor. My office is directly across from the elevator.

If you are local and would like to ride your bicycle to come see me, feel free to bring in up in the elevator with you, and keep it in my office.

If you are coming from Interstate 95 or Florida’s Turnpike, take the Okeechobee Exit and head east, toward Downtown.

You will pass over the TriRail tracks, and see the station on your left. You will pass the Kravis on the left, and the convention center on your right. You will pass the signs for City Place, and then cross over the freight train tracks. These landmarks are all within a couple of blocks.

You will want to take a left on Olive Avenue. Datura Street is a few block up. It is one street past Evernia. If you come to Clematis you have gone too far.

The Harvey Building is on the Southwest corner of Olive and Datura.

Like most cities, West Palm Beach is arranged in blocks so it is easy to find your way around, but be careful of One Way streets.

As we all know, one of the drawbacks of being in a city is finding parking. While the Harvey building does not have its own garage, parking is inexpensive and plentiful in West Palm Beach. There is metered parking throughout the Datura Street area, and a number of city garages.

If you want to use a meter, simply bring change and find one. Metering stops at 7 pm, so only pay until that time. After 7 pm your parking is free. On Sunday the meters are free as well.

The city garages charge one dollar for your first hour, and your second hour is free. Each additional hour is a dollar.

For evening classes, the garage is often unstaffed by the time we leave, and therefore, parking is free. Be prepared to pay, but you probably won’t have to.

The closest garage is on Evernia, between Olive and Dixie. Access this by taking a left off Olive onto Evernia. You will take a quick right into the garage.  Once you've parked you will be just half a block from my office.

During very special events, such as Sunfest and the Yacht Show, most of the garages become super expensive. If this is the case, skip the Evernia Garage and go instead to the City Center Garage on Banyan. This garage is a little further from my office, but keeps its regular price even during large events.

Whether you come by car, train, trolley, bicycle, bus or boat (yes, people do- you can dock at the pier at Waterfront Park), I know you will love downtown West Palm Beach. You will have a great time having a reading in my office, or attending a class or workshop.
Please call if you have further questions, 561-655-1160.

I’m looking forward to seeing you!
